New large fire engine from the Hinterstoder fire brigade present!

On the morning of March 1, 2025, the Hinterstoder fire brigade was alerted to a tragic incident at 07:56. A vehicle had strayed from the road on the toll road in a sharp curve and fell down the steep embankment, where it got stuck between trees and rocks. Fortunately, the driver survived the terrible fall unharmed. In order to safely recover the vehicle, the Führen fire brigade was called in because its own tank fire engine was currently in repair. Thanks to the support of a crane from a local company, the vehicle could be recovered quickly and gently. After a complete salvage, the site could be cleaned and the fire brigade returned to their guard, as fireworld.at reported.

These events took place at the same time as the ceremonial handover of a new large fire engine to the Hinterstoder fire brigade. The long -awaited dream of buying a modern fire truck has now become a reality. The new MAN vehicle is equipped with increased ground clearance and the latest technology in order to optimally support the emergency services in fightering. It replaces a 33 -year -old fire truck and has impressive equipment, including a modern Fox 4 pump and sufficient roll container for different use scenarios. The costs for the vehicle were borne by the municipality and the state of Upper Austria, while the fire brigade itself financed additional equipment worth 60,000 euros. This new fire truck is a significant improvement that enables the Hinterstoder fire brigade to continue working optimally for the safety of the population in the future, such as ff-interstoder.at

The Hinterstoder fire brigade has also committed itself to protecting the citizens and the modernization of their equipment. With upcoming schooling for the comrades, the team will be familiarized with the new technical possibilities as soon as possible in order to be well equipped for the next challenges. Another major project is already in the starting blocks: Planning for special tunnels that are to be realized by the beginning of 2026 promise even more effective equipment for the fire brigade and underpin the commitment to the security of the community.
