New fire -fighting guide appointed: Changes to the Ascheberg fire brigade!

The Ascheberg volunteer fire brigade managed a variety of missions last year. The Davensberg fire truck recorded a total of 45 missions that extended to different areas such as fire fighting, life rescue, accidents and ABC danger sites. The tendency of the missions shows a slight decline compared to the previous year. All fire trucks in the municipality of Ascheberg became active in the entire year 2024.

In a solemn meeting that took place in the Eickholt restaurant, Niklas Pieper was appointed the new fire truck leader. At the same time, Ulrich Gövert, who previously held the lead, was adopted. Together with Markus Budnik, Niklas Pieper will take over the management of the fire truck. Several promotions were also pronounced at the General Assembly, including for Simon Schulze-Wermeling as a firefighter and Matthias Dörrbecker.

Honors and memberships

The members were particularly honored for their many years of belonging to the fire brigade: Dirk Koch for 35 years and Christoph Perdun for 50 years of active membership. In addition, Christian Roberg was adopted in the honorary department after 43 years of active membership.

The Ascheberg volunteer fire brigade attaches great importance to team spirit and camaraderie. It is open to everyone interested, regardless of age or origin. The fire brigade tasks include technical assistance in traffic accidents, fire fighting and the use of damage positions such as UN weather and oil damage. In the municipality of Ascheberg, all active people are well trained and regularly take part in exercises to be optimally prepared for missions.
