On September 7, 2025, a significant disaster camp was opened in the community, which was implemented at great financial expense. This opening marks a further step towards improving operational readiness and effectiveness in major loss and disaster situations. In total, the fire brigade was called to 188 operations last year, during which 37 people and three animals were rescued. The opening celebrations took place in front of the armory on the newly designed site of the former community hospital.

Among the guests of honor who were present at this important event were State Councilor Daniel Fellner, SP club chairman Herwig Seiser, Mayor Martin Treffner, Deputy Mayor Isabella Breiml and other important representatives of the community and fire department. The musical entertainment during the celebrations was provided by the Treffner traditional band and “Gero-live & Friends”, while the physical well-being was ensured by fellow firefighters and helpers.
