Fireplace fire in Heiligenhaus: Fire brigade saves roof structure from fire death!
On Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2024, the Heiligenhaus fire brigade was called for a dramatic operation in the Isenbügel district. A fireplace fire in a single -family house led to flames quickly attacking the roof structure. The firefighters, who were alerted with fully alarm, had to do all hands to prevent worse things, such as Fireworld.at reported. Nevertheless, they had to remove parts of the roof during the extinguishing work to get to the embers and delete them.
The extinguishing work was challenging: operations manager Dominic Wulf explained that the fire service members had to fight the flames with heavy breathing protection and protective clothing. After an intensive fight against the fire, the emergency services reported "fire" after an hour. But the work was only completely completed after two hours after the last embers were deleted. A total of around 35 firefighters as well as emergency services and police were deployed, such as news.feed-reader.net reported.
A consulted chimney sweep checked the facility and initially took the fireplace out to avoid further dangers. It was crucial for the use that the fire brigade could contain the flames when they arrived before spreading further in the roof structure. Fortunately, there were no injuries, which underlines the rapid reaction of the emergency services.
