Helde in Neusiedl: Neighbor alarmed fire brigade at Advent wreath fire!
Rochusstraße, 2401 Neusiedl am See, Österreich - A burning advent wreath caused a fire service on December 15, 2024 in Neusiedl am See. The fire brigade was alerted at 3:43 p.m. after an attentive neighbor discovered fire bill on the first floor of a house. When the emergency services arrived, it turned out that there was a clear smoke development, but no open fire was visible, such as FIREWORLD.AT reported. The apartment owner was not present, which made access to the apartment difficult.
By using a telescopic mast stage, the firefighters were able to sift a burned -out Advent wreath on the inside of the apartment from the outside. This had apparently already gone out, as well as bvz.at reported. Since the violent opening of the massive security door did not work from the outside, access via the window was created. The ventilation of the apartment and removal of the remnants of the fire were carried out under heavy breathing protection. In close cooperation with the Weiden am See fire brigade, which was alerted as a precaution, the emergency services were able to leave the site after about an hour and a half without injuries.
Thanks to the quick actions of the neighbor, greater damage was prevented. The situation reminds of how important it is to react quickly in the event of fire threats and to alert the corresponding emergency services.
