Large exercise at Werder train station: 200 rescuers in action against train fire!

In the early Saturday morning, the train station in Werder/Havel turned into a spectacular practice area for the police and fire brigade! Around 200 brave emergency services simulated a dramatic rescue operation: a burning train that was crashed on a bumper must be evacuated. The scenarios were so realistic that you could almost smell the smoke!

This large exercise, which is one of the largest of the past few years in the district, attracts everyone's attention. Deputy city defense guide Stefan Bohnebuck told Antenne Brandenburg that the exercise is planned on a remote sack track until around 9:30 a.m. The good news: regular rail traffic remains undisturbed, while the emergency services prove their skills.
