On February 15, 2024, the fire brigade in the Schärding district celebrated a remarkable comeback: 20 years after the introduction of the respiratory protection performance test, the event returned to the Steinbruck-Bründl fire station. During this top -class test, 13 squads were able to pick up gold, silver and bronze performance badge. The participants had to cope with numerous demanding stations, including a written examination, the proper handling of respiratory protection devices and a practical stress check in operational mode. The 17th district dome cup took place in Raab as part of the 140th anniversary of the Steinbruck-Bründl fire department. In bright sunshine, the venue quickly filled up with numerous spectators who were eagerly watching the competitions. In gripping knockout duels, the groups fought bronze, silver and women in the rating classes for the fastest times. The group of Untertressleinsbach 1 triumphed in the bronze class, followed by Hackenbuch 3 and Schulleredt 1. The Pimpfing 4 group secured first place for women. In the silver rating, Untertressleinsbach 1 could not be beat again, with second and third place the groups Pimpfing 2 and Hackenbuch 1.
