Fire brigade Ingolstadt in continuous use: fire and water pipe break at the same time!
Ingolstadt, in southern Germany, was the scene of a dramatic fire service on Friday evening, March 14, 2025. The fire brigade was called to a recycling company, where a total of around 50 cubic meters of commercial waste were on fire. Quick action was in demand, and so numerous emergency services, including the volunteer fire brigades Ringsee, Rothenturm and our lord, as well as the professional fire brigade, were used with around 50 firefighters. Despite the challenge that the embers were difficult to reach and the fire flared up again and again, the firefighters managed to prevent the spread of fire to other buildings by distributing the garbage with an excavator and deliberately deleting them. The police and emergency services were also on site while the fire brigade worked with high pressure.
The following morning, on Saturday around 11:20 a.m., the fire brigade was alerted again, this time due to smoke development in a residential building in Dahlienstrasse, Ringsee district. As in-direkt.de reported the first-time volunteer fire brigade Ringsee a strong smoke expansion from an apartment. Immediately they started fighter under heavy breathing protection and at the same time brought the residents to safety. Three people suffered slight flue gas poisoning, with one tried to extinguish the fire himself, but had to be taken to the hospital before the fire brigade arrived. Here, too, around 40 firefighters were deployed, including the professional fire brigade and several voluntary fire departments. While the fire fighting was carried out, the also alarmed fire brigade Stadtmitte took over the securing of the area for possible further missions.
