Fire brigade in continuous use: Accident and heavy rain ensure chaos in Pinneberg

in Pinneberg the fire brigade became active six times on Sunday afternoon! The missions ranged from door openings to fallen branches to a dramatic accident and the devastating consequences of heavy rain. A true chaos that kept the emergency services on the trot!

Dramatic accident on the LSE!

on the night of Sunday, at 1.14 a.m., there was a shocking incident on Schenefeld-Elmshorn. A car broke through a game protection fence and devastated over 100 meters of the fence! The vehicle, which also surrounded a tree, came to a standstill on the side. Operations manager Claus Köster and his team were quickly on site because one had to fear that human life could be in danger. Fortunately, the inmates of the badly damaged car had already got out independently. Nevertheless, the car was examined for operating materials, and one person had to be taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The fire brigade was on alert, because there have been serious accidents on this street. But in this case the worst stayed away!

heavy rain flooded gardens!

on Sunday morning, shortly after 9 a.m., a garden in the street "in the knock" in Pinneberg was under water! The heavy rain of the night, combined with melted snow, had the property overflowed. The fire brigade quickly found that pumping the water alone would not be sufficient. The clogged pipes were the problem!

A flushing car was called to the site to clear the pipes. In order to relieve the volunteer forces, the fire brigade provided the affected homeowner a pump and hose material so that it could pump the water himself. A real use under extreme conditions!
