Arson attacks in Berlin: 17 trucks and construction machines in flames!

Berlin – There is a fire in the capital! On Monday night, Berliners were surprised by two huge fires. A total of 17 trucks and construction machines were ablaze while firefighters battled the flames. The fire devils were aiming for the greatest possible damage in Marzahn and Lichtenberg. The state security agency is feverishly investigating arson.

At around 3 a.m. the flames broke out on the premises of the concrete manufacturer Cemex on Gehrenseestrasse, where eight trucks went up in smoke. At the same time, fires were blazing at the Pyramid Ring, where nine other vehicles were destroyed. It still remains unclear which company the vehicles belonged to. Firefighters experienced a nightmare: water had to be hauled over long distances, and tank fire engines shuttled back and forth in Alt-Hohenschönhausen. Luckily no one was injured.

Letter of confession causes horror

Then on Monday afternoon came the shock: a left-wing radical group claimed responsibility for the attacks on Indymedia and linked it to the planned expansion of the A100. This is not the first time - shortly before that there was a fire on the premises of a concrete manufacturer in Kreuzberg in December 2023. Here too there was a letter of responsibility with similar content, where cement silos, vehicles and the main building fell victim to the flames.

As investigators investigate a connection between the two recent arson attacks, the city remains on alert. The fire brigade fought for hours with 50 emergency services at both fire sites, while the smoke gave the Berlin night sky an ominous glow.
