Fire in Klagenfurt: Lifeguard Fire detectors prevent worse!
In the night of Thursday, a 52-year-old woman in Klagenfurt experienced a life-saving moment when several fire detectors raised the alarm in her apartment. According to Klick-kaernten.at , a fire broke out in the kitchen, probably caused by an accidentally switched on and a oven. Around 2:15 a.m., the shrill warning signals woke the resident, who immediately informed her 59-year-old neighbor. This alerted the emergency services and accompanied the tenant outside, at least to escape the rising smoke.
The fire brigade and the police inspected the premises and were able to quickly control the fire. The qualified air meant that both the woman and her neighbor were suspected of suspicion of flue gas poisoning to the Klagenfurt Clinic, such as the Zeitung reported. Fortunately, the other residents of the house also reacted in good time and brought themselves to safety.
The emergency services found evidence that a kettle had melted together on the stove, whereby the stove and oven were in operation. Head of operations Helmut Unterluggauer from the professional fire brigade urged the relevance of the fire detectors: "Once again, they probably saved a life." In the fight against fire, the Klagenfurt professional fire brigade, the Kalvarienberg volunteer fire brigade and the police forces of the Annabichl inspection were used to quickly remove the danger.
