Vatican intervenes: Sister Brambilla leads crisis communities!

On January 11, 2025, the Vatican took significant measures to control the "family of the meat -gained word", an organization that consists of the Instituto del Verbo Encarnado and the Servidoras del Senor Y de la Virgen de Matara. Sister Simona Brambilla has been appointed the new head of the Vatican Order Authority and assumes the two communities of a long -term supervision. These measures have been followed by years of difficulty within the organization, since 2010, as an allegations of abuse against the founder, Carlos Miguel Buela.

The two communities founded in Argentina in the 1980s have been with precise observation of the Vatican since their creation. According to reports from katholisch.de the priestly community will in future be managed by the Argentine bishop Jose Antonio Satue Huerto as a papal delegate, while the order wife Clara Echharte as a papal delegate should monitor the female branch. The delegates are commissioned to support the communities in training questions, religious discipline, apostolates and management.

controversy and allegations of abuse

The intervention of the Vatican comes at a time when reports on continuous spiritual abuse within the Institute of Verbo Encarnado have also appeared. Cardal Santos Abril, the institute's provisional pontiff, reported numerous complaints about abuse, in particular trainees. These incidents are part of a wider problem within the organization, which has been under the intervention of the Holy Stuhl for over three decades, as Vida nueva Digital reported.

from Abril said that there was an "infinite" list of "illegal" actions in the institute and warned of illegitimate purposes of the illegal appropriation of divine authority. He warned those responsible to respect the "due freedom" in spiritual management and emphasized that religious obedience should not be forced.

These developments throw a light on the ongoing challenges and the need for reforms in the organization that maintains branches in more than 150 countries, also in crisis areas such as Gaza and Ukraine.
