Wichtel Challenge 2024: Fulfill Christmas wishes for the needy!

The Wichtel Challenge is back and brings a smile to the faces of socially disadvantaged people! From now on, Christmas wishes from clients of social institutions, including Pro Juventute in Fehring, can be viewed on the platform www.wichtelchallenge.at. Around 35,000 people have already benefited from this initiative in recent years, and thousands of wishes for fulfillment are available for 2024. This annual action aims to enable people who cannot afford small things like colorful socks or a kettle to make a contemplative Christmas season. As Florian Reichl, co -initiator of the Wichtel Challenge, emphasizes, it is a very personal experience for every elevator who is actively dealing with the gift and joy he brings.

This is how the Wichtel Challenge

The Wichtel Challenge has developed rapidly since its foundation in 2017. Participants are invited to browse through the anonymous wishes of people in social institutions and to fulfill one or more wishes. The platform enables simple navigation: view the wish list, select the wish, get a gift and finally send the gift to the respective social facility or hand over personally. Thanks to the revision of the website, user -friendliness has been further improved, so that every gnome can easily and willingly do his good work, as reported by wichtelchallenge.de

Last season, over 10,000 wishes of about 300 social institutions were met in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia. The initiative has received a strong support from celebrities, including the chart strikers "All Caution" and the football legend Herbert Prohaska. The Wichtel Challenge is not only an individual and warm gesture, but also a way for companies, schools or groups of friends to come together and make a contribution together. "Instead of giving the x-ten tea boothers, many preferred people wanted to help people who urgently need support," says Helene Prenner, co-initiator of the Wichtel Challenge.
