Austria's services in context

With a view to the current season, the Austrian men are rather reserved in the giant slalom. Apart from the Haaser World Cup title, they could only drive to the podium in Val d’Isere, where Feurstein took second place and fuel stone. In the overall ranking, Marco Odermatt from Switzerland and Henrik Kristoffersen from Norway are currently at the top. Odermatt already has the small crystal ball for the giant slalom, which reflects its success this season.

In the current season, the Austrian gentlemen in giant slalom have been waiting for a World Cup victory since February 2023. Marco Schwarz's last World Cup victory in the giant slalom took place in February 2023 in Palisades Taoe. After 35 out of 37 races of the 2024/2025 season, Marco Odermatt leads the overall ranking with 1614 points, while the Austrian team is in 3rd place in this discipline with 3740 points.

outlook for the second round

For the second round, which will take place this evening, an Austrian coach will take over the course of the course, which may open up new opportunities for the athletes. In view of the different terms and the current slopes, the competition conditions for the athletes are still challenging. The team hopes for improving the placements and a good result in the final sprint of this season.

The winter season is coming to an end, and the Skifans worldwide look forward to the last races. It remains to be seen whether the Austrian gentlemen in the giant slalom can still exceed their previous services.
