Beekeeping world meets in Wels: Big event attracts 3,500 visitors!
Messeplatz 1, 4600 Wels, Österreich - The 55. Specialist conference and beekeeping trade fair of the Austrian employment beekeeper association is just around the corner, and the anticipation in the native beekeeping scene is huge! From February 14th to 16th, 2025, around 3,500 beekeepers gather: inside in the Wels trade fair to find out about novelties and trends. Over 110 exhibitors from all over Europe will be on site and present their products, while exciting lectures and workshops will provide a comprehensive seminar program.
A highlight of the event is the focus on marketing and business optimization. In view of a stagnating honey heel, new strategies are required. For trade visitors there is a panel discussion that deals with the challenge of production costs in the context of the honey market. The discussion is headed by media expert Claudia Schanza and includes specialists such as Bernhard Heuvel and Michael Traugott, who will give their insights into the current problems in the industry. The dangers from invasive types such as the Asian hornets are also discussed. Specialist lectures provide information about the crisis plan and necessary measures to combat these threats, as already reported.
