U19 handball players are fighting for bronze: historical chance for Austria!

Austria's U19 handball players have already done great things at the European Championship in Montenegro, despite the narrow defeat in the semi-finals against the world champions from Spain with 23:28. They led them into the main round, where they celebrated an impressive victory against Norway (35:27) before entering the quarter -finals despite a defeat against France (24:31). There the team achieved a remarkable victory over the French team with 29:26, which gave the players a lot of confidence.

The women's handball European Championship, also known as Women’s EHF Euro, is organized by the European Handball Federation (EHF) and took place for the first time in 1994. The competition comprises 24 teams and is played in the round tournament format, followed by a knockout system from the semi-finals. With a total of ten titles, Norway is the record winner of the tournament, while the tournament also serves as an important qualification for the World Cup.
