Anniversary gala in Vienna: 460 years of Hoffreitschule celebrate with big plans!

In an impressive step to optimize the stable conditions, the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, under the direction of Managing Director Alfred Hudler, has launched a new project. Announced at a press conference, modern ventilation and fog systems are to be installed in the Stallburg in order to significantly improve the stable climate. As Hudler and Oberbeiter Marcus Nowotny explained, this innovation will come into play, especially in the hot summer months, to reduce the temperature in the stables by a few degrees. Another planned project is the greening of the historical Renaissance building, which, however, encounters concerns from the Federal Monument Office. The year 2025 brings several special features for the Hoffischule. In addition to the already planned anniversary gala on May 4, to celebrate the 460th, tours from 2026 are also planned with a first tour to France in February. In addition, the first stallion foal in 2025 was born in the Piber Lipizzan Stud, as the stud of a press release announced. This shows not only the beginning of a new year, but also that the breeding program continues to be successful.
