Brutal robbery in St. Veit: The suspect remains on the run!

A brutal raid shook the St. Veit district when a Romanian attacked a landlord together with an accomplice. The incident occurred in August of the previous year when the two men started the victim with a hammer and seriously injured him. Thanks to the DNA traces found at the scene, an EU-wide arrest warrant against the main suspect could be obtained. However, as Markus Kitz, spokesman for the Klagenfurt public prosecutor's office, told APA, it is unclear when the accused will be transferred to Austria, since a possible negotiation in Belgium initially has priority. The delivery is fixed, but the exact time remains to be seen, says Kitz.

Complices still on the open

So far there is no trace of the complicity of the perpetrator. The investigation is in full swing in order to also hold the second man accountable, who was obviously involved in the robbery. In this context, it is discussed whether the main suspect may have other accomplices that may have helped him to escape or plan the raid, reported Reverso. Despite the intensive investigations, the situation remains uncertain about the questions and the possible arrest of the accomplice.
