Record funding: 1.4 million euros for youth projects in Lower Austria!

In 2024, record -breaking 1,431,525 euros flowed from funds from the European Union to the promotion of youth projects in Lower Austria. Youth Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister proudly reported that this sum is an enormous increase compared to 2014, when it was only around 165,000 euros. This support from the EU is via programs such as Erasmus+ Jugend and the European Solidarity Corps (ESK), which are campaigning for the introduction and implementation of innovative projects. Successful initiatives such as the "Eljub-European youth encounter" and "EU youth in Lower Austria care and care centers" implement these financial resources directly in valuable activities. The youth organization: Info Lower Austria plays a central role here by supporting municipalities and youth associations in the application to ensure the best possible use of the funding, such as OE24 reported.

growing engagement for young people

The EU projects not only offer young people employment, but also promote their personal development as well as social skills and understanding for European values. The need to establish international contacts and make friendships with the same age from all over Europe shows how important these programs are. In addition, as part of various funding calls, such as the Interreg programs, new opportunities are always created in order to tackle creative and community-oriented projects. Such initiatives contribute to establishing a strong network between the Union member states, with Europa-niederoesterreich pointing out the ongoing developments in the region.
