Since the adoption of this regulation in 2021, Europol has developed a tool that enables terrorist content to forward to online service providers.

Since June 2023, Europol has already given 46,400 references to such content, with 1,406 distance arrangements being sent by the Member States. These arrangements were followed by the online service providers in accordance with the respective guidelines and terms of use. Such measures are part of a comprehensive approach to increase security in the EU and to combat the distribution of extremist ideologies.
