Hydrogen network Leine-Weser: 279,900 euros Funding for the future!

Nienburg/Weser, Deutschland - An exciting development for the hydrogen network Leine-Weser: On December 11, 2024, it was officially announced that the network received a funding of around 279,900 euros. These financial resources come from the Local Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Security. The money is used for professional network management, events and network work. The aim is to identify and implement sustainable hydrogen projects in cooperation with the districts of Diepholz, Hameln-Pyrmont, Hildesheim, Holzminden, Nienburg/Weser, Schaumburg and the Hanover region.

The hydrogen network is intended to make a significant contribution to the energy transition by replacing fossil fuels and acting as a long -term memory for excess regenerative energy. The district councilors of the districts involved have already signed a declaration of closing to the final approval of the funding. "Hydrogen can play a central role in the energy transition," said Nienburg District Administrator Detlev Kohlmeier, underlining the enormous importance of the project for rural areas.
