New Supernova shopping center: meeting place for shopping and enjoyment!

The new Supernova shopping center successfully completed the renovation work on the former Leiner furniture store today. How Click Carinthia reports, the center combines a variety of retail, dining and leisure offerings, making it the desired meeting place for shopping and relaxing.

The shops in the new center include well-known retail companies such as the Röther fashion house, Woolworth, Singer furniture store as well as discounters such as Tedi, KIK and Fressnapf. The offer extends to fashion, sporting goods, furniture, drugstore and lifestyle products. Gastronomy is also offered to round off the shopping experience, while fitness and leisure options are also integrated.

Expansion through a retail park

In addition, an adjacent retail park will be opened in September, which will feature a variety of shops. The retail park will house, among others, Intersport, Deichmann, Takko, Billa and Bipa as well as the Kärntner Sparkasse and the Orientino restaurant.

This new opening aims to offer a wide range of offerings at the location, covering many areas of daily life. This will create around 80 new jobs, which promises to significantly strengthen the location and the regional economy. An opening program on September 11th will also feature exciting activities throughout the center.

The future of shopping centers

Despite the challenges shopping centers are currently facing, interest in them remains high. A survey on which PwC shows that 35 percent of those surveyed have visited a shopping center at least once a week in the past three months. In addition, 71 percent of participants said they visit a shopping center at least once a month.

Consumer behavior is revealing: 61 percent go to a shopping center without consuming anything, which indicates a change in shopping habits. Inflation and rising consumer prices influence this tendency, which also affects the profitability of tenants and the shopping centers themselves.

The survey also shows a clear desire for leisure and entertainment offerings: 68 percent of those surveyed want such options, while only 16 percent of shopping center operators provide them. A similar picture emerges in the catering industry: 73 percent of those surveyed express a need, while only 46 percent of providers respond to it.

In view of these trends, the conversion of the former furniture store into a modern shopping and experience center is a step that not only addresses the poor areas in retail, but also addresses the needs of consumers today.
