This year, the Bach Days are celebrating their 56th edition and offer an impressive program that will make visitors' hearts beat faster.
A festival of sounds
The Würzburg Bach Choir opens the festivities with the moving “John Passion”. This masterpiece by Bach will captivate listeners and properly ring in the pre-Christmas season. But that's just the beginning! The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra will explore the “fiery and passionate sides” of Bach and Vivaldi and take listeners on a musical journey. The connection between Bach and the jubilee Anton Bruckner is impressively represented by the Chamber Choir of the University of Music and the Minguet Quartet.
The Bach Days not only offer classical concerts, but also a participatory concert and cantata services that involve the community.
