Several skiing accidents occurred last weekend in the popular winter sports areas around Schladming. A particularly dramatic collision was between a 57-year-old skier from Germany and a six-year-old child on the “Schober slope” of the Reiteralm. The accident, which occurred on Saturday at 10:25 a.m., left the woman with injuries to her hip area. She had to be taken immediately to the hospital in Schladming in a rescue helicopter, while the child and his mother drove on unrecognized. The police are appealing for information regarding the identity of the child and his mother in order to clarify the incident orf.at reported.
More collisions and emergencies on the slopes
Overall, the police recorded various other incidents on the slopes. On the same day at around 11.40 a.m., a 24-year-old from Graz was injured in a collision with an unknown skier on the Planai men's World Cup and was taken to hospital. Here too, the other party involved in the accident remains unrecognized. On Saturday morning, a 51-year-old German skier and a 67-year-old man from the Perg district in Upper Austria were involved in another accident in Hochwurzen.
