Oberasbach Christmas market: music, treats and family fun!

Oberasbach is transformed into a winter wonderland! On December 7th and 8th, 2024, the town hall square will shine in festive splendor when the Christmas market opens its doors.

An exciting musical program awaits visitors! The trombone choirs, the Oberasbach brass band and the band from the Pestalozzi Middle School music class will be there. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. the acoustic rock band Trias from Nuremberg will rock the stage, while on Sunday at 5 p.m. the cult band O'Malley will set the mood with rousing Irish folk music. The crowning finale is the talented singer Aruthi from Kenya, who will enchant visitors on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Treats and attractions for the whole family

Your physical well-being is well taken care of! The local clubs and associations offer a variety of delicacies, including bratwurst, steak, suckling pig and tarte flambée. Filipino specialties will not be missing either. The twin towns of Oberasbach present their typical local delicacies and look forward to seeing the locals again.

A special highlight is the nativity scene exhibition by the Nuremberg/Fürth Nativity Scene Friends in the town hall foyer. The Oberasbach model railway team also invites you to a fascinating model railway exhibition in the St. Johannes parish center, which is open to anyone interested on Saturday and Sunday. For younger guests there is a Punch and Judy show from the CVJM Unterasbach in the city library, as well as a gingerbread workshop from the Regenbogen kindergarten and a children's carousel right in front of the town hall.

Mayor Birgit Huber opens the Christmas market on Saturday at 2 p.m. together with the Oberasbach Christ Child and representatives of the partner cities. The big gift giving takes place on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the Christmas market stage. Be there and experience the festive atmosphere in Oberasbach!
