A winter wonderland for everyone! The anticipation in Jena is growing, because from November 28th, 2024 to January 5th, 2025, the Ernst Abbe sports field will shine in festive splendor and be transformed into the enchanting ice world of Jena. Here visitors can expect not only a breathtaking ice skating rink, but also a variety of festive attractions that are guaranteed to conjure up the Christmas spirit!

The covered ice skating rink offers enough space for around 100 skaters who can spontaneously venture onto the ice, as ice skates are available for rent. In addition, a mulled wine stall pampers guests with delicious warm drinks and snacks, while a cozy hut for 20 people allows Christmas parties. Not enough yet? Thursday to Saturday there will be a special Christmas singing with the Staract Glasperlenspiel and numerous choirs from the Saale city, which rounds off the winter experience perfectly!

Opening times and special offers

Ice World is open daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with reduced hours on Sundays until 6:00 p.m. Groups such as school classes and clubs can experience the magical atmosphere exclusively in the morning. This makes the Ice World not only a treat for families, but also an ideal opportunity for schools and organizations to create unforgettable moments on the ice!
