Syrian gunner in Essen: shocking violence and helpless politics!

In a shattering series of acts of violence, the city of Essen once again became the scene of barbaric attacks. The most recent incident occurred in the Altenessen district when a 41-year-old Syrian citizen made a hunt for uninvolved people with a machete and a knife. This reports Journalistenwatch . In this bloody attack, the man injured a total of 31 people, including eight children, two of whom float in mortal danger. Previously, he had fired fires in several apartment buildings before brave passers -by could overwhelm him until the police arrived. The perpetrator, a well -known police element, was already known for threats, property damage and domestic violence.

A little later, a further incident reveals itself in the popular asylum home Langauen: A 23-year-old Syrian opened the fire and tragically injured four men, including two. Tragically, a 14-year-old boy still succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The perpetrator said that he was "before more happening". These acts of violence again raise questions about security policy in Germany, especially with regard to the migration question. According to OE24 , the gunner was previously inconspicuous and in possession of an asylum authorization card.

The call for more security

These incidents come just a short time after another violent assault at the city festival of Solingen and throw a bright light on the failures of the responsible security authorities. Critics like the Minister of Family Lisa Paus try to trivialize the attacks as "relationship acts", but this is broadly contradicting in society. Politicians are accused not to ensure the security of the citizens and rather work on symptoms instead of the causes of violence, while society has to ask how long such incidents should continue.
