MT Melsungen welcomes Flensburg: A top game full of excitement!
Another exciting chapter in the Daikin Handball Bundesliga is imminent! On Friday evening, MT Melsungen welcomes SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the sold-out Rothenbach-Halle in Kassel. The kick -off will sound at 8 p.m. and the fans can look forward to a gripping duel that is broadcast live at Dyn.
The MT Melsungen leads the table with 18 points, while SG Flensburg-Handewitt lurks in third place with 17 points. Despite this strong starting position, Melsungen's sports director Michael Allendorf sees himself in the outsider role: "Unfortunately we have some injured and battered players. That's why I see ourselves more than outsiders." The injuries to Amine Darmoul and Aaron Mensing as well as the uncertainty about Nikolaj Enderleit, which is questionable after a blow on the thigh, throw a shadow on the preparations of the Mt.
challenge for the MT
Trainer Roberto Garrondo remains optimistic and emphasizes the strength of the Melsung defense. "We can allow little against Flensburg. It will be crucial to defend their quick counterattack game," he explains. The Flensburger has recently shown themselves well in shape and have a lot of confidence. But Parrondo relies on the support of domestic fans: "Everything is possible with our fans in the back." The MT has already proven this season that it can play heavily in top games in front of its own audience.
Around the game there will also be a raffle action in which a worn MT jersey can be won. A lot costs three euros and the proceeds flow into the youth work of the MT. The Rothenbach-Halle opens its doors at 6.30 p.m., and referees Ramesh and Suresh Thiyagarajah will lead the game. Be ready for a handball highlight!
