Dynamo Dresden: Members gather - financial successes and challenges!

Dynamo Dresden opened on Saturday in an impressive meeting for the annual general meeting! Vice President Michael Bürger welcomed the members to the congress center on the bank of the Elbe at 10 a.m., where 632 members gathered. After a moving minute's silence for deceased members and congratulations on the birthday children, the professional team was received with a loud applause. Trainer Thomas Stamm promised to give everything for the common success and thanked the members for their support.

Financial successes and challenges

The meeting also brought pleasing news: auditor Erik Istel presented the balance of the 2023/24 financial year, which was completed with an increase of almost 1.6 million euros. This is a remarkable turnaround after the previous year ended with a minus of around 854,000 euros. But be careful: the surplus depends heavily on Corona aids, without which the result would have been minus 2.9 million euros. Dynamo achieved sales of 25.04 million euros, which represents an increase of 292,300 euros compared to the previous year.

However, finance manager Stephan Zimmermann pointed out risks. Despite the positive figures, there are challenges: Expenditures for the game operation are 46 percent above the league average, and the penalty payments for fan offenses are considerably strain on the cash register. 210,000 euros alone were spent on pyrotechnics in the stadium, which is a high load. Zimmermann plans a minus of 2.6 million euros for the current season, which continues to keep the financial situation of Dynamo tense.

New supervisory board and number of members

Another highlight of the meeting was the election of André Gubsch to the supervisory board, while the managing directors were relieved. The number of members is also gratifying: with 29,700 members, Dynamo is one of the 25 members of the strongest in Germany, and you strive to crack the 30,000 mark soon. The mood was optimistic, despite the challenges that lie in front of the club. The fans are excited to see how the developments will be shaped in the coming season!
