Winter wonder or just a fleeting snow magic in Radeberg?
Radeberg. On Monday morning, November 18th, the Rödertal experienced a surprising winter miracle! Between 8 and 9 a.m. thick snowflakes fell from the sky and turned the landscape into a white fairytale. But despite the slippery roads, there was no major catastrophe! The Görlitz Police Department reported that although there were some accidents, these were not due to the winter conditions. Press spokeswoman Anja Leuschner confirmed that the road conditions were not the cause of the incidents documented by colleagues.
Is winter coming to us now?
But that was just the beginning! Meteorologist Michael Klein from Donnerwetter.de warns: The Rödertal could be hit by snow again this week. On Tuesday it will initially be mild with temperatures around 10 degrees, but in the evening the rain could turn into sleet. Wednesday night could surprise us with more snowfall! Klein explains that the snowpack could remain variable from place to place. After a dry bank holiday on Wednesday, a wild mix of snow, rain and sleet is expected, more likely to take the form of showers. It could snow again on Wednesday evening and Thursday night. A real “winter wonderland”? Only for a short time!
