Mystical nights at Querfurt Castle: A family celebration full of surprises!
Querfurt/MZ – When darkness falls over the impressive Querfurt Castle, the historic place becomes the scene of mystical adventures! On Friday, November 8th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the castle will open its gates for the spectacular “Night at the Castle” event. Here, visitors are transported into a world full of secrets and magical experiences - without being alone!
The organizers of the Saalekreis district are expecting a renewed rush of visitors after last year's premiere exceeded expectations with around 4,000 guests. “We have learned from our experiences!” assures Franziska Weidner, the manager of the castle. The catering offering will be much more extensive this time, with stands run by students from the Burgstadtgymnasium and the Querfurter Carnevals Association. “Togetherness is important!” emphasizes Weidner and is pleased about the support of local actors.
A program full of magic and excitement
Although the event is not Halloween-themed, visitors can expect an exciting journey through the magically illuminated castle courtyard and through the mysterious underground passages. Old warriors, enchanted mythical creatures and the legendary white woman will bring the castle to life! There are numerous hands-on activities for young and old spirits: crafts, treasure hunts and medieval dances are on the program. Costumed children can even look forward to a special surprise!
The sounds of the castle music school will echo through the ancient walls as students and teachers present a rousing musical program. Organ sounds can be heard in the castle church and “goosebump stories” are read out during breaks. A magician will also enchant guests on the outdoor natural stage! Admission to the exciting night at the castle is 6 euros for adults and 3 euros for children - however, payment by card is not possible! Be ready for an unforgettable adventure in the magical world of Querfurt Castle!
