Koblenz experienced a top-class football festival when FC Rot-Weiss Koblenz in the Rhineland Cup won the round of 16 with an impressive 4-1 win against SG Müschenbach/Hachenburg! The league team dominated the game and thus secured the ticket for the next round, where an exciting city derby against TuS Koblenz was due. The TuS also triumph 4: 1 over the SG Schneifel and promises a hot duel in the coming round!

In a gripping match in the Hachenburg stadium, in front of around 220 enthusiastic spectators, Rot-Weiss showed who had control from the start. But the Westerwald defense initially turned out to be persistent. The breakthrough made in the 30th minute when Leon Wilki promoted the ball into the net after a corner kick. The Koblenzers did not give up and increased to 2-0 by Rachid Tchadjei, whose shot was unsustainable after a rebound. Despite the deficit, the hosts fought on, but the Koblenz offensive was just too strong!

After the break, Müschenbach tried to catch up, but Rot-Weiss remained dangerous. Jerome Albera made everything clear in the 66th minute and shot the 3-0. Fabian Heinens managed the hosts to 1: 3, but substitute Yusupha Sawaneh set the final point with the 4: 1 and crowned the strong performance of the Koblenzer.
