Dispute over residential complex at Haunerbusch: Citizens are defending themselves against bankruptcies
In Kierspe, a planned new building caused heated debates. At a meeting of the city council on October 1, the statute decision for a residential complex at Haunerbusch 124 was initially put on hold before the citizens were given the opportunity to express their concerns. The tense mood was immediately noticeable, since many residents have concerns about the effects of the project that is to be built on the area of the former EGB Schröder company.
The building provides for a two -part building complex with an underground car park that is supposed to include 80 barrier -free apartments. Dinah Wältring, who appeared as the landlord of the nearby company building, critically commented on the information policy of the city administration. According to Wältring, the company had not been sufficiently informed about the planning and previous examinations. She emphasized that early communication would have been necessary in order to be able to clarify the legal concerns of the residents in advance.
parking problems and traffic concerns
The council meeting was accompanied by further complaints from the citizens. These pointed out the parking situation on Haunerbusch, which has already been tense. A resident made it clear that the road was too narrow and that previous problems had already occurred with the company. It also questioned how city traffic should be organic during the construction work and questioned the need to create family -friendly apartments, since the proximity to school does not think it is sufficiently taken into account.
Thomas Hanses, who worked as a senior architect for the construction project, defended the planning as positive for the region. He explained that the transport report would evaluate the effects of the project positively. In addition, he emphasized that the building reduced the industry in the area and that no more trucks had to drive on the Haunerbusch. The planned underground car park should offer enough space, so that the new residents do not have to use parking spaces on the street.
Nevertheless, it remains unclear how the wishes and concerns of the residents on the Haunerbusch can be integrated into the further planning. The city council must now wait and will decide on the further procedure at a later date. The situation not only raises questions about traffic, but also about how urban planning can be realized in dialogue with the citizens without being ignored.
The debate about the Haunerbusch residential complex is once again showing how important transparent communication between the city administration and the population is. In this discussion, the residents express their strong concerns, while the architects and investors come up with positive arguments. The upcoming decisions of the Council will decide to what extent the ideas of the citizens and the planned construction projects can be reconciled.
