In recent years, the special support program Naturparkregion Lechtal-Reutte has had a remarkable success by making a significant contribution to the development of tourism. A total of 468 new guest beds were created, while 531 existing companies were significantly upgraded. The district captain of Reutte, Katharina Rumpf, emphasizes that the utilization of the beds has increased in both halves of the year, i.e. in winter and summer. This is the result of investing projects that were funded over a funding of seven million euros in a period of ten years, which has triggered a total of 72.5 million euros in initiatives, as reported by

An important aspect of the program is the annual provision of 850,000 euros until 2034 for the support of projects in the region. Governor Anton Mattle (ÖVP) encourages municipalities and project sponsors to use the funding. The aim is to strengthen sustainable business models and leisure activities and to promote the use of renewable raw materials in construction. The test instances are responsible for assessing all applications, with both private individuals and companies, associations and public organizations.
