C-Juniors of the 1st FC Kleve celebrate the first win of the season in the home game!

An exciting day for the C-Juniors of 1. FC Kleve! Finally, they got the first win of the season in the Niederrheinliga football league and with an impressive 3: 1 (2: 0) against the DJK Adler Union Frintrop. In a gripping home game, the Klever talents handed over the red lantern and improved to the penultimate place. Samiyan Erkis brought the team into the lead in the 11th minute, followed by Bert Giesen, who increased to 2-0 in the 18th minute. After the half -time break, the guests from Essen shortened to 2: 1 (46th), but Theo Boßmann restored the old gap in the 52nd minute and secured the deserved victory.

"The victory was also in height because we were the superior team," cheered FC coach Umut Akpinar. He is proud of his protégés, who are now in top shape despite a suboptimal preparation due to vacations. Before the winter break there are two important games: First it goes against 1. FC Bocholt, followed by a home game against the DJK Arminia Klosterhardt. Akpinar has a clear goal: "In these games, of course, we are aiming for the maximum points."

SV Straelen fights for points

The SV Straelen, on the other hand, had to be satisfied with a disappointing 2: 2 (1-0) against SG Essen-Schönebeck and slipped to sixth place in the table. "It is really annoying that we only took one point out of food. We can be satisfied with our performance," said coach Jeremie Dohrmann. The Straeleners took the lead early through an indirect free kick, but after the break the hosts turned the game. The SG brought a long -range shot to 2-1 (62.), but in the final minutes Fabian Otschik achieved the acclaimed equalization (70th). "Overall, we made a really good away game," summed up Dohrmann, who is now looking at the next home game against the SpVG Schonnebeck.
