Breathtaking duo concert: oboe and harpsichord enchant Kleve!
Kleve, Deutschland - kleve. A musical experience of the extra class awaits visitors in the Kurhaus Museum! On Sunday, November 24th at 6 p.m., the talented Oboist Juri Vallentin and the harpsichord Elina Albach present her captivating duo concert. Under the title "Breath. Respiro", breath, heartbeat and voice merge into a unique sound experience that breaks the boundaries between concert and performance. These two masters of their field bring old music into exciting new relationships and invite the audience to a journey through different epochs.
The concert begins with a solo prelude by the Arab clarinetist and composer Kinan Azmeh, followed by the pulsating sounds of the baroque sonatas by Antonio Vivaldi and the music of the famous composer Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. With their concentrated game, Juri Vallentin and Elina Albach explore the deep connections between music and human life. "This program is also influenced by Joseph Beuys' music view," explains Vallentin, who is looking forward to appearing in a place that is connected to Beuy's artistic heritage.

The audience can look forward to solo highlights, including a sequence of the Italian composer Luciano Berio and Heinz Holligers "Cardiophony", in which the heartbeat and breath of the oboist are brought into a sound form. The evening is rounded off by a sonata by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, who has set itself the task of conveying musical thoughts in their true depth. A breathtaking concert that touches the senses and makes the hearts beat faster!
