A skillful fraudster has pretended to be a teacher for years, in three federal states in Austria! The 48-year-old has underpinned his career with fake documents, as a civil servant's determination reported. In his wallet, the authorities found an obviously fake job in the Austrian police and several student ID cards. Despite the fact that he was de -registered over 20 years ago, he was able to hire at various educational institutions without any complaints about his teaching. Most recently, he worked at a middle school in Steyr and struggled there as a teacher until his machinations finally came to light.

The police have now initiated investigations against the fraudster, in particular due to falsification of particularly protected documents and the cancellation of an office. These are serious crimes that are prosecuted. Although there have been no complaints about his teaching, this case has caused a sensation. In another context, the city of Dortmund points out that everyone who loses their identity card is obliged to report this loss to the responsible authority or at the next police station. As the police explain, it is important to block a lost ID card immediately to prevent abuse and prevent possible susceptibility to identity, especially since modern ID cards have an electronic identity.
