In the early morning of February 12, 2025, at around 3:45 a.m., there was an explosion on the balcony of an apartment building in Bonn-Niederholtorf. According to the first reports of Fireworld , nobody was injured, but the damage to the balcony border, the furniture and the front door was significant. House residents immediately alerted the police and the fire brigade after hearing a loud bang. Investigations initiated

The Bonn criminal police have already formed a special investigation group to clarify the circumstances of the explosion. So far there is no evidence of a politically motivated background. The residents who were temporarily accommodated by the fire brigade were cared for by victim protectors before they were able to return to their apartments after an assessment by a structural engineer.
