Fatal hunting accident in Mecklenburg: Investigations continue!
In a tragic hunting incident in the forest near Ruchow, in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, a 48-year-old hunter lost his life. The man was hit in a joint hunt, in which three other hunters from Lower Saxony took part, through a gunshot wound on the neck and was immediately dead, like Tagesschau reported.
The fatal shot was given by a 50-year-old hunter who was in a high seat about 200 meters away from the victim. So far, the investigation by the public prosecutor has shown no evidence of an intentional act. Rather, the Schwerin public prosecutor assumes negligent killing, as reported. The alleged shooter has not yet commented on the incident.
Investigations in the course
against the 50-year-old hunter is determined due to the circumstances of the incident for negligent killing. No further details on the investigations have been published for tactical reasons. A week after the incident, the autopsy of the victim was carried out, which also gave no evidence of a deliberate shot.
