8.7 million euros for Lüneburg Clinic: Future of Obstetrics secured!

A big step for health care in Lüneburg! Lower Saxony's Minister of Health Andreas Philippi (SPD) presented the municipal clinic Lüneburg two funding notices with a total value of 8.7 million euros. This financial support comes from the country's hospital investment program and is invested in important construction projects that are intended to significantly improve the medical infrastructure.

The funding comprises 4 million euros for the construction of a replacement bed house that will modernize obstetrics and neonatology. The merging of a new delivery room with seven birth halls as well as the creation of a new obstetric station and additional stations for pediatric and adolescent medicine is planned. With this new financing, the country's overall funding for this important project increases to an impressive 16 million euros. In addition, 4.7 million euros flow into the conversion of central sterilization and two care stations, which will further increase efficiency and security in the clinic.

Important investments for the future

"With its far-reaching new and renovation measures, the Lüneburg Clinic sets an important sign of stable health care in the city and the surrounding area," emphasizes Minister Philippi. These investments are not just a financial subsidy, but a clear commitment to improve medical care. In particular, the expansion of obstetrics as well as child and adolescent medicine will significantly increase the attractiveness of the Lüneburg location and offer citizens even better medical care.
