At the Christmas market in Ostrhauderfehn, the Easter Fehntjer Törfsteker collected a gratifying donation of 1000 euros for two local organizations. The proceeds were evenly divided and half goes to the Tafel Rhauderfehn and the hospice huus empty, each receiving 500 euros.

These funds come from the sale of loose and drinks that were offered during the Christmas market on the second weekend in Advent. Jens Schmidt, one of the association's initiators, informed about this generous gesture. The association, whose name in Low German is "Osterfehntjer Törfsteker", was founded in the summer of 2022 during the shooting festival in Idafehn and Ostrhauderfehn and has been active in the organization of various events, including the Christmas market.
