A top -class spectacle! SV Meppen brought the Regionalliga Nord to quake on Friday evening when over 9,000 spectators flocked to the Meppener Hänsch Arena. With 9,346 fans who experienced the gripping 2-0 against the Kickers Emden, a new record was set. This impressive backdrop exceeds the previous record of 6,200 spectators, which was achieved at the first meeting of the two teams. The Emsländer just missed the best value of the previous year when 9,621 spectators were present against VfB Oldenburg.

The Regionalliga Nord has thus been involved in the ranks of the audience records that were set up throughout Germany this season. While SV Meppen shines with its average 6,000 spectators this season, MSV Duisburg remains the undisputed king of the regional league with an incredible average of 15,286. The first home game against Türkspor Dortmund even attracted 18,085 fans and highs the bar for all other clubs.

Regional league records at an overview

In the regional league northeast, the Thuring Conductor between FC Carl Zeiss Jena and FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt attracted most spectators, with 12,432 fans who saw a clear victory of the Jena. In the regional league Südwest, the duel between the Kickers Offenbach and the Stuttgart Kickers ensured 10,451 spectators, while the Lower Franconian derby in the regional league Bavaria between the Würzburger Kickers and 1st FC Schweinfurt attracted 6.874 fans.
