New KGM Actyon: The fresh SUV with impressive features!

The new Actyon has established itself as an exciting new addition to the SUV market. It is based on its brand brother Torres and is presented as an excellently designed crossover. The redesigned model follows on from an already established model name, as an SUV and a pick-up called Actyon previously came onto the market. In the current version, the SUV impresses with its compact dimensions of 4,740 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height. The overall weight remains relatively low despite a 50 liter tank, which is supported by the modern design, which is rounder than its predecessor.

The Actyon is offered as a petrol engine with a 1.5 liter petrol engine and achieves an output of 163 hp at 5,000 to 5,500 rpm. The engine has an in-line cylinder arrangement and is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, which transfers drive to either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. In addition, up to 668 to 1,660 liters of loading volume can be provided. The maximum trailer load is 500 kg unbraked and 1.5 tonnes braked.

Performance data and consumption

The engine of the KGM Actyon 1.5 T-GDI 4WD is equipped with a turbo intercooler and has direct injection. The acceleration is accompanied by a high torque of 280 Nm, which is available between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. In terms of fuel consumption, the Actyon performs differently depending on the driving style: with 11.6 L/100 km in the slow driving cycle up to 7.8 L/100 km in the fast cycle. The combined consumption is 9 L/100 km.

The vehicle's CO2 emissions are 205 g/km and meet the Euro 6e pollutant class. The long-range 50-liter tank ensures a range of up to 555 km according to WLTP.

Market and future prospects

The SUV market in Germany continues to be strong. Sales of around 44 billion euros in the SUV market are forecast for 2025. This number is expected to rise to 49 billion euros by 2029, corresponding to annual growth of 3.05%. German consumers show a clear preference for SUVs, which is due to the vehicles' versatility and greater sense of safety.

On average, the price of an SUV in 2025 will be around 36,000 euros. The high demand is also stimulated by the increasing wealth of German consumers as well as government incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles, which brings an additional wave of interest in electric and hybrid SUVs.

The SUV market is expected to continue to evolve in the coming years as new models such as the Actyon are released and the popularity of more compact SUVs continues to rise. The German automotive industry, with big names such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, remains strong and well positioned to meet the challenges and opportunities the market offers.
