Rousing youth concert in Kötz: sounds that brighten up autumn!
The Kötzer Günzhalle experienced an unforgettable evening during the spectacular youth concert of the Kötz wind orchestra! Almost 40 talented young musicians thrilled the audience with rousing performances that properly celebrated the end of the autumn holidays. Under the direction of Katrin Hackl, a concert program full of sonority and musical diversity unfolds. The little “music mice” made a bright statement against the looming November fog with their cheerful singing over colorful autumn leaves - the audience was blown away!
The performances by the BOK kids and the charming clarinet ensemble with Marie Geiger, Carolin Stöckle, Lina Wolf and Fiona Zacher caused enthusiasm. The Waltz Op. 39 No. 15 by Johannes Brahms was particularly a highlight that took the listeners into a world of lightness. With the Disney classic “Hakuna Matata” they managed to fill the hall with a carefree atmosphere. The rhythmic Woodpeckers Parade and the youth band’s classic “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” conveyed the central message of always remaining optimistic. Particular attention was paid to the adult musicians, who now shared the stage with the young people as part of the “Become a Musician at the BOK” project - an impressive sign of the growing sense of community in the wind orchestra!
An evening full of talent
The audience honored the performances with enthusiastic, well-deserved applause. The passionate performances showed once again that the Kötzer music scene is flourishing and that the young talents are well on their way to making a name for themselves in the world of brass music. The evening was not only a celebration of music, but also a living testimony to the future generation of musicians who will conquer the stage with heart and dedication!
