Commandant Felix Bader has presented the brand new future concept to raise the weirs of Zell, Herbisried, Itelsburg, Ziegelberg and Bad Grönenbach. Equipped with fresh ideas, modern equipment should benefit the five district fire brigades. The goal: optimization and specialization, because this is the only way to guarantee quick help in such a large area as Bad Grönenbach!

In workshops, the volunteer firefighters have developed decisive core competencies in order to better do justice to the different danger sites. A large biogas plant, the trees and the railway line - these risk factors were meticulously viewed. Attention was particularly paid to the critical water supply outdoors. Even in Ittelsburg and Herbisried, where farms and other biogas plants prevail, preparation for dangers such as forest fires is indispensable. "Quick help and proximity can only be provided on site," emphasizes Bader.

The needs are clear! There is a lack of space in Ziegelberg, so it is urgently needed to expand the tool shed. In Ittelsburg, buying a new lighting rate for missions is on the list. Herbisried has to get a portable pump trailer and a team transport car - the list is long! Bad Grönenbach is also planning several investments, including the replacement procurement of two vehicles and the expansion of the fire service equipment house. These precise investment plans have been strategically distributed over the next seven years.

The reactions from the market council are positive! Second Mayor Ilse Dorn praised the concept as "very well done". Konrad Lichtenauer from the Greens also thanked the fact that the fire brigades had seriously dealt with their future. But it quickly became clear that all wishes cannot be fulfilled immediately, but the most urgent are tackled priority.
