Klose quits upheaval at the 1st FC Nürnberg: winter transfers unlikely!

The 1. FC Nürnberg is facing a dramatic change! Under the direction of head coach Miroslav Klose, the team has changed fundamentally this season. A total of 23 players left the club, while 15 new faces reinforce the Franks. Klose, who himself shone as a world champion in 2014, has the reins in his hand and looks forward to the upcoming winter transfer window.

After a bumpy start of the season, Klose found the right adjustment screws and catapulted the team to the divided seventh place-thanks to the gate guarantee Stefanos Tzimas! But the changeover from a four to a triple chain also brings challenges. Only four central defenders are available: Captain Robin Knoche, Finn Jeltsch, Ondrej Karafiat and Nick Seidel. Injuries or locks could dramatically tighten the situation. So is it time to sign new players?

Klose remains calm - no transfers necessary?

"I'm totally relaxed there," Klose told the Bild newspaper and strikes the rumors about possible new additions. He sees no need for action because Routinier Enrico Valentini is available as an alternative for the triple chain. The 19-year-old Seidel is also to be funded. But little will change during the winter break. Klose hopes that players like Florian Pick and Kanji Okunuki, who are difficult with the new formation, will adapt. Pick has been on the bench since October 5, while Okunuki has not been to the squad since September 21.

Klose emphasizes the importance that players can act flexibly between the lines. "Of course, Picki and Kanji feel a bit more comfortable on the outside than inside, but both can do it," said Klose. Nevertheless, transfers could occur if players push for a farewell due to low operating times. It remains to be seen whether this actually occurs. The tension in Nuremberg remains high!
