Small pleasure in Winterwunderland: Kassel's families enjoy the snow!

On 11 and 12 January 2025, the city of Kassel experienced a rush to the tobogganing slopes in the Habichtswald due to the winter conditions. Sunshine and cold temperatures ensured a snowy landscape that attracted numerous families and children outside. The most popular point of contact was the sled slope at the telecommunications tower, where children like Romeo (10), Simon (7) and Johann (5) enjoyed tobogganing.

Families, such as Martin and Michaela Wengerek with their sons Henry (5) and Sebastian Barden and Ilda Hujdur with Niam (2), took the opportunity for an excursion. The reason for this was the return of a ski roof box. However, while the winter activities were in full swing, the parking situation turned out to be problematic. The parking facilities around Ehlener Straße were limited, and icy and mirror -smooth substrates led to sheet metal damage through slipping cars.
