World War II bomb in Fulda: City takes stock of a delicacy!

A shock for the city of Fulda! A world war bomb was discovered at the Gallasiniring, which led to a dramatic evacuation and successful defusing. The city is now facing the challenge of pulling the teachings out of this incident and taking the dangers of blind passers seriously. Fortunately, Fulda is not often affected by such finds compared to other cities, which is particularly thanks to the tireless use of explosive expert Karl Michel, who has defused numerous bombs since the end of World War II.

The city of Fulda has to bear the costs for the defusing and evacuation itself, since it is responsible for the site. Although the site was previously used by the federal government, the city sees no way to pass on the financial burdens onto the federal government. It was assumed that it was a partially renovated property, and indications of possible risks were missing.

However, the city has made it clear that the examination and evacuation of fighting are part of the normal project business. Due to the massive bombing in World War II, area -like investigations are not practical. Instead, suspected cases are carried out on projects, and the further procedure is coordinated with the RP Darmstadt. The owners have responsibility for the investigation of private site, such as the site of the former rubber works.
