Great fire in Rankweil: upper floor of an apartment building on flames!

in Rankweil on April 6, 2025, there was a massive fire in an apartment building at 5:20 p.m. When the fire brigade arrived, the upper floor of the building was already in full fire. According to Vol.at there were no more people in the building. A neighboring house was evacuated as a preventive measure.

The Rankweil fire department was on duty with the support of surrounding fire departments, a total of 15 vehicles and around 120 emergency services from Rankweil, Zwegwasser, Götzis, Mäder and Meiningen were on site. The fire fighting was carried out quickly and the fire to neighboring buildings was successfully prevented. Nevertheless, two people with suspected flue gas poisoning had to be admitted to the State Hospital Feldkirch.
