Deutschland - alnatura has given an urgent recall for certain 125 gram packs of potato chips with sea salt. The reason for this measure is wooden splinters found in the chips that can cause both a risk of injury and serious health risks. According to Kosmo there is a risk of possible internal bleeding and risk of suffocation. The affected chips must now be taken out of sale, and Alnatura urgently advises against consuming these products.
The recall campaign refers specifically to packs with the best before the best before 11.10,2025, which were available in almost all 16 federal states in Germany. The recall affects not only alnatura branches, but also other retail chains. Customers who are affected by the recall can return the chips and receive either a refund or an exchange. Österreich bleibt von diesem Rückruf verschont, erläutert HNA.

The Consumer center indicates that foreign bodies in food can often arise from production errors or material waste. In the event of a swallow, it is advised to cough vigorously and bend the upper body forward. A secret maneuver can also help. In the event of shortness of breath or unconsciousness, the emergency call 112 should be chosen immediately.
product warnings are not unusual in Germany. A variety of foods are called back every day, mostly due to health concerns. Especially the Consumer advice center recognizes that regular callbacks are essential to ensure the security of consumers. The central point of contact for such information is the Portal Fachwarung.de, on which users can find out more about current warning messages, now also by push or email notification.
Consumers should take callback reports seriously and regularly search for information on potentially dangerous products. Alnatura and other manufacturers are obliged to inform the public about recalls to ensure that inappropriate products are no longer consumed.
